Sarasota Compounding Pharmacy offers comprehensive individual consultations to assist our patients and their medical practitioners with compounded formulations of Bio-identical Hormones. The consultation with our pharmacists allows the opportunity for patients to receive answers to their specific questions about Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy.
During the private consultation, our pharmacist will:
- Review your personal medical history from your previously completed online questionnaire
- Review your symptoms
- Review your lab work, if appropriate
- Discuss your lifestyle and nutrition
- Provide recommendations to your healthcare provider if they request
- Assist in finding you a healthcare provider if you don’t have one
The BHRT consultation fee is $75.00 for a 30-minute session, which includes a 10-minute follow up by telephone. Please note that we cannot schedule a consultation appointment until after the questionnaire has been completed and returned to Sarasota Compounding Pharmacy.
Hormone Levels & Testing
Saliva and Blood Spot Test Kits for hormone level testing may be purchased from our pharmacy to determine hormone levels. The most typical hormones tested are cortisol (adrenal function), estradiol, estrone, progesterone, testosterone, and DHEA. Our pharmacist can discuss the recommended hormone testing schedule and related fees with you during your consultation.
Therapy Recommendations
After your hormone replacement therapy consultation, we will work with your physician on a personalized BHRT therapy recommendation to address your specific needs. We may also recommend nutritional supplements as part of your regimen in order for you to achieve the proper balance of hormones.
Prior to your consultation, complete and submit the following confidential questionnaire through our securely HIPAA-compliant portal. Please allow a minimum of 30 minutes to complete the questionnaire. A pharmacist will contact you within 72 hours once completed to schedule your consult.
